  • Fitness & Friendship, Club Support Volunteers

    Our Fitness & Friendship Club Support Volunteers help run activity clubs with the club leader and support from the Fitness & Friendship team.

  • Fitness & Friendship, Club Leader

    Our Fitness & Friendship Club Leaders provide hands on support by running local fitness and friendship clubs for older people.  Volunteers promote the programme locally, attract participants and deliver sessions to older people in local communities.

    Our charity shops are not just a retail space, but a place for people to come to us for advice and help. Join our growing team of warm and friendly people working in local communities.

  • Wellbeing Support Volunteer

    Wellbeing Support Volunteers help older people reconnect with social activities by visiting them at home, in the community, or speaking to them on the phone. They assist with finding activities, arranging transport, and supporting clients to attend.

  • Information & Advice, Office Volunteer

    Volunteering from our offices, your role will be to help with the delivery of our information and advice service to individual older people.

    There's several levels of volunteering available from helping with administration and appointments to giving technical advice on specific benefits and more.

  • Information & Advice Community Volunteer

    Our volunteers visit older people in their own homes, and complete telephone appointments, to help them fill in disability benefit forms and provide information on core subjects.

    There's scope to complete home visits to help with other types of forms and advice, depending on experience.

  • Office Support & Administration

    Business Support underpins all Age UK Wiltshire services as well as providing administration support to the Leadership Team and Board of Trustees. The team is responsible for the charity’s IT systems, recruitment processes, communications and social media, and supporting our services.

  • Telephone Befriending Volunteer

    Providing a low-key social telephone support service to older people to take the outside world into a client to relieve isolation and loneliness. Our volunteers provide regular telephone contact to our clients, having a friendly chat and are positive and encouraging throughout.

Volunteering opportunities with Carers Together Wiltshire:

  • Age UK Wiltshire is part of the 'Carers Together Wiltshire' partnership. We support those providing informal unpaid care to an another person, through a range of support services.

    As a Café Helper, you'll help create a friendly, supportive environment for unpaid Carers to enjoy a relaxing break, good conversation, and a well-earned moment for themselves.

    As a volunteer Club Leader, you’ll take the lead in running our community-based Carer Clubs - providing a safe, sociable space where unpaid Carers can unwind, share experiences, and take a break from their caring role.
