  • Walking Football Session Leader

    POST TITLE:                       Walking Football Session Leader

    SALARY SCALE:                £15 - £20 per hour depending on experience

    HOURS:                               3 posts @ 1.5 hours per week (Zero Hour Contract) (Fixed Term Contract – 32 Weeks)

    RESPONSIBLE TO:           Health and Wellbeing Manager

    RESPONISBLE FOR:        Volunteers and Clients

    BASED:     Various Locations throughout Bournemouth, Poole & East Dorset (BH7, BH10, BH11, BH12)

    PURPOSE:  To work under the direction of the Health and Wellbeing Manager to develop a Walking Football programme. The post holder will be responsible for developing, organising, delivering, and monitoring a weekly Walking Football session for older adults aged 55+. Successful applicants will have to undergo FA Safeguarding children, FA Playmaker & FA Introduction to first aid training.

  • Help at Home Assistant

    We are looking for Help at Home Assistants to work in the homes of older people living in the Bournemouth area.

    Duties include domestic support/cleaning, shopping, small de-cluttering jobs, washing or ironing & companionship. There is no personal care involved.

    Available on a zero-hour contract. Monday - Friday only. No evenings or weekends. Travel time, at the hourly rate of pay, and fuel expenses are paid.

    Must have a driving licence and own transport with business use insurance.

    Salary: £8.91 per hour plus travel time and mileage.

  • Befriending Coordinator

    HOURS: 16 hours per week
    Salary: £8648 (Actual) 
    JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate our Befriending Scheme in conjunction with our Community Connections Team. You will be responsible for the allocation of clients to our volunteer befrienders as well as providing the volunteers with appropriate support, advice, and guidance. The support to clients will be low level and befriending will either be over the telephone or a home visit.

  • Support Worker East Dorset

    HOURS: 16 per week
    Salary: £9513 (Actual)

    PURPOSE: To support clients either by phone or by undertaking home visits where necessary to those that have become isolated either through mental illness, bereavement, physical disability, lack of mobility etc.

    The aim is to work with them on a one-to-one basis to provide them with short- and long-term goals with the intention of integrating them back into the community either through another of our services or an activity of their choice. 

    This service is provided to clients aged 60 and over and living within in East Dorset
