Please be aware that due to the current coronavirus pandemic, we’ve had to postpone or suspend some of our services. We apologise for any inconvenience or distress that this may be causing.
While our buildings may be closed and our resources may be stretched we are still here to help and we continue to offer:
• information, aiming to be a reliable, easy-to-understand source of advice for all older people, their friends, family and carers
• well being support via telephone
• free wills and legal support
• benefits application support
• signposting of advocacy services across the Bradford District, if we can't help

During June and July, Worth Connecting will help people over 55 who are keen to use digital devices during the coronavirus crisis. We can provide telephone support, for example, on use of tablets, of apps and of websites. Please call 01274 449660 to refer someone who may benefit.

Wellbeing & Engagement
Our team of wellbeing staff and volunteer wellbeing buddies want to support people to access the right support for them. For some individuals this may be 1:1 pairing with a volunteer to build confidence and access services in the communities, for others it will be accessing local interest groups or building social connections.
Group Support and Activities
We offer a range of Group Support and Activities across the District, some of the activities we currently offer include: Sunshine Group; Get Active Feel Great; Lunch clubs; Veterans Wetherspoons breakfast club and Coffee and chat mornings
Denholme Wellbeing Cafe
Denholme Wellbeing Cafe happens on the 2nd Thursday each month at Denholme Mechanics Institute between 1-4pm.

Lunch and Breakfast Clubs
We recognise that social involvement is key to positive wellbeing. We support a number of informal lunch and breakfast clubs across the District, where people can get together to share a meal and have great conversations.

Information & Advice
Trusted Trader Database
Our Trusted Trader Database has been developed specifically to help make life easier for older people, their carers, families and friends who are looking for products or person centred services.
Our team work to develop and deliver person centred, multi-disciplinary approaches to support in the community. Working alongside health, social care and other VCS organisations to empower people to access information and support to maintain and improve their health & wellbeing.
We are are pleased to be working alongside National Institute for Health Research funded project with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, The University of Leeds, to develop and test a new approach to care which aims to improve quality of life for older people with frailty.
Working alongside health professionals, we provide two link workers supporting patients in two GP surgeries in AWC. Working with individuals to identify any social support and activities that will improve their wellbeing, and enable them to access support in their communities.
