Studio BD
Studio BD is a new creative project that transforms donated items into restored, reworked, and reimagined pieces with a new life ahead of them.
Some donations that we receive arrive with imperfections. Others may be unusual, overlooked, or simply unsuitable to be placed straight onto the shop floor. Rather than letting those items go to waste, Studio BD gives them the care, creativity, and craftsmanship they deserve.
From repaired clothing and refreshed furniture to handcrafted homeware and one-of-a-kind finds, every item that passes through Studio BD is thoughtfully cared for and given a genuine second life.
And every purchase directly supports older people across Bradford District.
More Than a Charity Shop
Studio BD is about seeing potential where others might not.
Instead of selling donations exactly as they arrive, we carefully restore, repair, adapt, and upgrade selected pieces to create something unique, sustainable, and full of character.
It’s a project rooted in creativity, sustainability, and Bradford’s long history of making and craftsmanship.
Every item tells two stories:
- the story of its repurposing
- and the story of what it helps support next
Because every pound raised through Studio BD helps fund vital local services for older people in our community.
Why Studio BD Matters
Giving items a second life
We believe fewer things should end up in landfill when they still have value, usefulness, and beauty left in them.
Celebrating local craftsmanship
Bradford District has a proud heritage of makers, repairers, and skilled hands. Studio BD aims to celebrate those everyday skills and bring them into a new generation of sustainable creativity.
Supporting local older people
Every Studio BD purchase helps fund services delivered by Age UK Bradford District - from advice and wellbeing support to social groups and practical help for older people across the district.
What You Might Find
Studio BD pieces are always changing, but could include:
- Restored and altered clothing
- Reworked denim and jackets
- Handmade wooden homeware
- Repaired jewellery and accessories
- Creative one-off pieces made from donated materials
No two pieces are the same - and that’s the point.
Get Involved
