Hours:

we offer flexible zero hours contract - a variety of shifts are available.

07:00 - 17:00 (day shift - 10 hours)
17:00 - 21:00 (evening shift - 4 hours)
21:00 - 07:00 (night shift - 10 hours)

Salary:

from £10.55 per hour with a retainer of 25% of shift duration for sitters that are on call and available.

Location:

 the role is based within the clients' home throughout the boroughs.

Closing Date:

midnight, 3rd February 2019

About the Role

The aim of the Sitting service is to reduce the number of unnecessary readmissions to hospital, by providing a tailored service to allow clients to recuperate and regain independence and confidence in their own home.  Staff will be required to remain in the clients home whilst on shift.

We are recruiting caring, reliable, empathetic people to help older people return home after a stay in hospital.  We cover all Greenwich and Bromley postcodes and the service is provided 24/7.

Duties will include:

  • Washing and Bathing
  • Medication prompting and assistance
  • Specialist support
  • Toileting and commode use
  • Domestic chores
  • Food preparation and cooking

About You

DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO AN OLDER PERSON?

We are looking for people with an empathy with older people  to provide a service for the older people in Bromley who have been identified by the hospital as requiring support and reassurance for a maximum of 24 hours on discharge.

You will be caring with a friendly, professional manner able to work on a flexible, part-time basis as a Sitter with our Sitting service.  At the heart of all our Sitting service is compassion, companionship and conversation.

If you have some care experience that that would be great, but it is more important to be a caring and compassionate person that wants to make a real difference to hte lives of others.   Full paid training is provided so the right personal qualities are more important than previous work experience.  We also encourage commencement of QCF level 2 on completion of the six month probation period.
