Greenwich Befriending offers a vital lifeline to older Greenwich residents who would otherwise feel lonely and socially isolated. Our trained and vetted Befriending Volunteers provide companionship and opportunities to socialise through home visits, telephone befriending and in our groups and activities.

One to One Befriending

For Greenwich residents 65 years + who find it difficult to get out and about, offers home visits one day per week at times convenient to clients.

Clients and befrienders share a chat together and perhaps a cup of tea.

Telephone Befriending

Offers regular calls from a Greenwich Befriending volunteer to Greenwich residents 65 years + for a chat and companionship over the phone.

Friendship Groups and Social Activities

For Greenwich residents 50 years + who can get out and about and would like to widen their social circle. There are opportunities to socialise, make new friends and take part in fun activities.
