Great Eastern Run 2025

On Sunday 12th October we were thrilled to support Jess, who ran her first half marathon at the Great Eastern Run. 

Jess, an employee at Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, decided to raise money in support of the charity’s work with older people in the community. 

Speaking about her motivation, Jess said: 

“I joined Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough last year and have seen the incredible difference that the charity has made to older adults’ lives. Having worked previously in healthcare I can now see how services such as those provided by charities like Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, are of enormous importance to supporting the community. 

I have seen first hand the immense dedication of the staff and volunteers in the charity and am extremely proud to not only become part of the team but to also fundraise on their behalf.” 

Jess managed to complete her run in 2 hours and 7 minutes and in total Jess managed to raise £230
