Service Manager required
Make a Difference to the Lives of Older People Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is a respected independent charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of older people throughout the county. Every day, we help people remain independent, connected, and supported within their communities.
We are looking for an inspiring, proactive, and compassionate Service Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining leadership and service development with a hands-on operational approach, working closely with teams to make a real difference every day.
About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, you will manage a combination of services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is a genuinely hands-on management role, combining strategic oversight with active involvement in the day-to day operation of our services.
As well as providing effective leadership, support, and guidance to staff, you will work alongside teams to ensure services run smoothly, respond to challenges, and continue to meet the needs of older people in our communities. You will be visible within the services you manage, building relationships with staff, volunteers, service users, and stakeholders, while ensuring high standards of delivery are maintained.
This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. One day you may be supporting staff with operational challenges, the next reviewing service performance, developing new opportunities, or helping to shape the future direction of our services.

- A confident and effective people manager.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding services and support.
- Highly organised, motivated, and reliable.
- Able to balance operational management with service development.

- Committed to making a positive impact within the charity sector.
Why Join Us?
