Little hats, big difference

Join us to knit little hats for innocent smoothie bottles and help raise money to support older people!

Every year, our supporters take up their knitting needles and crochet hooks as part of the innocent Big Knit in partnership with Age UK. Download the knitting patterns below, make yourself a nice cup of tea, find a comfy chair and knit away!

The Big Knit is Age UK's partnership with innocent drinks. We've been working together since 2003, asking the country's crafters to knit little hats for the tops of innocent smoothie bottles. Every hat knitted raises 30p to help Age UK provide much-needed services and support to older people.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us to reach our target last campaign - you sent in 15085 little hats!!! This raised £3771.25 for us!

When is the next campaign?

The next Big Knit campaign is planned for 2026/27, with exact dates still to be confirmed. Sign up to Age UK's newsletter and you will be the first to hear when it’s announced.

When is the deadline to send hats in?

The deadline to send in hats for the Big Knit 2024/25 has now passed.

Where do I send my hats?

Please send them to:

Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, U18 South Fens Business Centre, Fenton Way, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, PE16 6TT.

Please ensure that you send the hats to us locally and not to the national Age UK charity, as we are a different charity. We are your local independent charity delivering local services to support local older people and their carers. We will not benefit from fundraising or donations that are sent to the national charity called Age UK.

How do the hats raise money for Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough?

Age UK receives 30p for every little hat knitted and placed on an innocent smoothie bottle, helping to raise vital funds for our services
