Celebrating Eid 2026 with the Community

Age UK Camden's Community Eid Celebration at Great Croft Day Centre was attended by 160 people including local councillors, Camden residents and members of the local mosque, who came together and enjoyed a joyful afternoon of food, fun, and community spirit. 

Day Centres General Manager Abul Choudhury reminisced, "The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing, with people of all ages enjoying the event together and making it a truly intergenerational celebration. It was wonderful to see the community coming together in such a positive way... There were plenty of delicious food, great conversations, and lots of smiles throughout the afternoon. The event was a real reflection of the strong community spirit that makes our area so special."

He also thanked Camden ward councillors, Liam Martin-Lane, Lotis Bautista, and Anne Clarke from the Mayor of London's team for attending and supporting the event.

"Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the celebration such a success. We look forward to welcoming everyone again at future community events."
