Younger people help older people learn computer skills

Members of Age UK East Grinstead & District are receiving computer tuition from young people from Outset Youth Action and members from East Grinstead Youth Council. The first session saw the two groups meet for the first time to begin this new initiative of learning a variety of skills, from internet shopping to how to Skype, mostly on a one-to-one basis.

Pam Mitchell, Chief Officer of AUKEG&D, said it was refreshing for members to have the opportunity to learn from young people and thanked Outset Youth for giving up their time in aid of the charity.

Many more young people are interested in being involved in this venture and there are still places available for older people wishing to develop their computer skills in this enjoyable way.

Please call 01342 327046 to book a place. Sessions of one hour are £5 each to cover costs. If you are interested in signing up or finding out more, contact Sue Willox on 01342 327046 or email
