Become a Trustee

Could your strengths, skills or experience make a positive difference to Age UK Hertfordshire (AUKH), a successful charity with the simple, yet vital, mission: “improve the lives of older people in Hertfordshire”?

AUKH provides valuable services to thousands of older people and their carers, including day clubs, dementia support, help in the home, befriending, nutrition and many more, making effective use of productive partnerships enabled by the high level of recognition we have across the County’s statutory authorities and voluntary sector.

We need to expand our Board of Trustees, and welcome applications from all age groups and backgrounds, and with skills amongst the following: fundraising and income generation; financial management; communications and social media; IT strategy and transformation; building local stakeholder relationships; core legal and HR expertise. Board and/or senior level experience would be a valuable bonus although not essential.

This is a valuable opportunity, as a volunteer, to make a positive impact on the lives of older people in our communities, while gaining leadership and Board experience with a collaborative team of committed Trustees.
