Age UK Lancashire’s Support at Home service provides tailored and compassionate assistance to older people across Lancashire who may need extra help with daily tasks.
Our dedicated team prioritises wellbeing and independence, offering more than just traditional cleaning and shopping services. We provide companionship, emotional support, and practical help to ensure clients feel comfortable and supported in their own homes. Each visit is carried out by a carefully selected, trained, and insured staff member, with the aim of building trusted relationships that bring peace of mind to both clients and their families.
Our Support at Home workers assist with a variety of tasks, excluding personal care and medication. They can help with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and light snacks, as well as running errands, shopping either accompanying clients (subject to risk assessment) or shopping on their behalf, and help organising your appointments.
Many clients also enjoy outings to cafés, social visits with friends, or simply having a friendly face to chat with. In addition to these services, our workers can provide support with correspondence, utility management, and even digital tasks.
Beyond practical assistance, our team goes the extra mile to enhance the quality of life for our clients. We can support with filling in forms, decorating for Christmas, or helping you to enjoy your hobbies, we are here to offer a flexible and responsive service that meets individual needs.
