Temporary closure

Due to the ongoing COVID 19 situation, we have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily close our 9 charity shops located across Lancashire.

These shops provide us with vital unrestricted income, enabling us to deliver services and support to local older people and this will be a huge financial setback to the charity. However, in the current climate, we feel we have a responsibility to protect our staff, volunteers and customers from potential exposure to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

As a local charity doing all we can to support vulnerable older people in this crisis, we are calling on people to support us by donating to our Isolation Appeal:

By donating today, you can help us provide lonely older people with a daily phone call to check on their wellbeing and ensure they have everything they need. Help us be there for isolated older people by donating what you can today. Thank you.

Looking to bag a bargain, declutter your life, or volunteer? You can do all three at our charity shops in Lancashire.

We have 9 charity shops located throughout the county which offer a wide range of quality, nearly-new, clothing and accessories for all ages. Using these shops gives you the opportunity for a bargain whilst helping Age UK Lancashire generate much needed income

We want the coat off your back!

Well, not literally, but if you have any unwanted coats we would like you to donate them to us as part of our 'Spread The Warmth' campaign. We are encouraging people to donate good quality coats which can then be sold to raise money to help older people stay warm and well this winter. Donate your coat at any of our shops, and don't forget to Gift Aid it so we can claim back and extra 25% from the taxman.

About our shops

Our shops are crucial to the work of our organisation. They help us raise much-needed cash which we can use to provide services which are not funded by other agencies. They are also a great place to find good quality clothes, books and other items and very reasonable prices and also provide information on a range of issues relevant to older people.

Our shops operate to a high standard with fully trained staff and volunteers, and rely on donations of goods to sell. Anyone interested in donating items to be sold can drop things in to their local shop.

Volunteer in our shops

We're alway looking for friendly and motivated volunteers to work in our shops. There are a range of roles available from front of house customer service to ensuring the best selection of stock is always available to shoppers. If you'd like more information on any shop roles or volunteer your time, get in touch today by calling 0300 303 1234 (calls charged at local rate) or pop into your nearest shop.
