Contract Type: Fixed Term (9 months) Potential for a permant
We are seeking an experienced Retail Van Driver & Stock Collector to join the Retail team. Your role is to ensure the careful movement, collection and delivery of donated items, including large furniture items working with the Shop Managers, within allocated locations.
Ideally, we are looking for an individual to cover the North of Leicester and live within or the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the collection and delivery of donated goods to the required location within agreed timescales and to agreed targets.
- Responsible for the delivery and collection of large furniture items, this can range from beds, wardrobes, sofa’s, side boards, tables, office furniture, white goods
- Role will involve a large amount of heavy lifting in picking up and moving stock including furniture.
- To undertake bag drops and collections as required.
- To maintain strict control of security of all goods collected, transported and delivered.
- To ensure minimum losses are incurred on goods and furniture by the careful and respectful handling of all such items.
- Transportation of the stock rotation process.
- To ensure customer care and quality of service is implemented.
- To act as the representative of Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland in the collection from and delivery to customers of donated goods and furniture.
- Support & liaise with shop managers & deputies over the movement of stock.
- Support all volunteers and drivers’ mates ensuring policy & procedures are adhered to especially health & safety – manual handling. Have spacial awareness when moving furniture
- D1 driving category

Contract Type: 9 month fixed term contract with a view to a permanent position
Hours: 22.5 flexible over 3 days, including bank holidays and some weekend working
Salary: £15,568.59 per annum - £13.27 per hour
