Age UK Norwich is a local independent charity with 40 staff members. We reach and support around 6,000 older people and their families each year across our range of services and activities.
Our staff team works closely with the local community, and much of our work is delivered across Norwich and its suburbs.

Service Delivery Lead
About the role:
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of Health Coaches and Community Support Workers focused on home and community-based assessments and services for people living with frailty or disabilities. You will work closely with partners at Norfolk Citizens Advice and Voluntary Norfolk to make sure residents receive the support they need, plus strengthen our combine services as part of a multi-charity team.
It’s a unique opportunity to combine service leadership with partnership development: making sure every older person’s journey is joined-up, person-centred, and focused on what matters most to them.
You’ll have strong management skills, able to use service and evaluation data to make sound decisions. You’ll also bring effective relationship and change skills, to use trauma informed intelligence to help shape our services and partnership around the people we’re looking to help the most.

Health Coach
About the role:
Our Health Coaches are at the heart of prevention. You will support older people one-to-one co-ordinate exercise classes in the community to improve physical activity, build confidence, and re-engage with community life. Whether supporting someone recovering from illness, tackling frailty, or simply looking to stay well, you will deliver safe and entertaining sessions to get people back on their feet.
Your ability to engage and inspire people to improve their health and wellbeing will be what gets you up in the morning. You will have a broad understanding of bio-psycho-social determinants of health and can work flexibly to shape interventions that help clients hit their life goals. Due to the mobility level of our clients, you’ll be comfortable with home visits and driving.

Community Support Worker
About the role:
As a Community Support Worker, you will be the reassuring presence that helps people navigate change. Whether through home visits, group sessions, or telephone support, you will help individuals and families adapt to evolving care needs, stay safe at home, and build confidence in managing long-term conditions. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. It’s our most holistic service, completely centred around our clients and their need – whether recovering from surgery, coping with bereavement, or re-building confidence in the community.
Empathy and active listening will come naturally to you, and you’ll have the organisational skills to track all the actions for the clients in your portfolio. You will be tenuous in your approach, overcoming hurdles to make sure your clients get the services they need to keep them safe and well. Quality and Governance Lead
About the role:
This role is ideal for someone with a background in quality assurance, compliance, or governance, who wishes to make a real impact in the community by supporting a local charity to deliver safe, effective, and accountable services.
As Quality & Governance Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring that Age UK Norwich maintains the highest standards of service delivery, safeguarding, and operational compliance across our wide range of activities, services and campaigns. You’ll champion a culture of quality and continual learning, monitoring our performance to demonstrate our impact.
You will work across all areas of the charity to ensure policies, procedures, and quality frameworks are consistently applied. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, where you will oversee audits, risk monitoring, and reporting, as well as provide training, advice, and support to staff and volunteers.

Finance and Contracts Lead
About the role:
The Finance & Contracts Lead will play a vital role in making sure Age UK Norwich remains financially strong, accountable, and able to deliver highquality services for older people. This role combines responsibility for our financial operations with oversight of the contracts and partnerships that sustain our work.
Day-to-day, you will be producing accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to support decisions made by the Chief Executive Officer and their leadership team. You will guide the charity budget, work closely with colleagues across the charity to monitor income and expenditure, and ensure that funds, particularly restricted and designated funding, are used appropriately and to the greatest benefit of older people in our community.
In addition to managing financial reporting and controls, you will also oversee our contractual relationships with funders, suppliers, and partners. This means ensuring compliance with funding agreements, supporting audits, and providing reassurance to external stakeholders such as local authorities and commissioners. You will also make sure that supplier contracts deliver value for money and are aligned with the needs of the organisation.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. It requires someone who is comfortable with bookkeeping and financial tasks and activities, plus an ability to analyse and articulate financial data to others and make recommendations at all levels of the charity.

Volunteer
Trustee - help guide our work
We are looking for trustees to join the Age UK Norwich board to help us shape the charity and make Norwich a great place to grow old. We are evolving to meet the needs of an aging population and ensuring Norwich is an age-friendly city and our trustees are a key part of driving this agenda forward, working with the Chief Executive.
