Many clients present to us in times of extreme crisis, unable to feed themselves, heat their homes, or under threat of eviction and homelessness.
We are trusted referrers and as such have no need to supply bank statements when applying on behalf of our clients.
Organisations that can provide help:
Citizens Advice are able to issue Norwich Foodbank Vouchers and can be contacted on 0808 208 2138 or 03444 111444. Social services, GP surgeries, housing support officers, and children's centres can also issue vouchers.
The Client Hardship Service (previously called the Norfolk Assistance Scheme) can help with food, energy, and household essentials, you can apply online at www.norfolk.gov.uk/chs or call 0344 800 8020.
There is a drop-in Service at the The Forum, Norwich, which is open from 10 am - 12 pm (Mon-Fri).

Social supermarkets
These are a more affordable, way of grocery shopping run by voluntary organisations, working with local food producers and suppliers to provide products at a lower cost than traditional supermarkets. These shops are aimed at anyone who is struggling to afford food, but there are no specific criteria for who can become a member.

- The Feed's 'Nourish' service Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 5.30-7pm, Saturday/bank holiday 4-7pm. Pottergate ARC. Hot meals to eat in. By referral only for those without cooking facilities. Professionals can refer clients by emailing NourishGemma@thefeed.org.uk.
