Two local businesswomen are joining forces to support Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's 75th anniversary fundraising appeal by hosting a charity dinner.
Kim Gilmour of Connect Consultancy, and Julie Kaur, of Premier Jules Convenience and Chair of the Trustees at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, are busy planning the Posh Frocks Charity Dinner. The event will take place at Hadley Park House Hotel in Telford during the evening of Friday 17 October.
Around 100 ladies are expected to attend the event, with all proceeds of the Grand Hamper Prize Draw being donated to the appeal.
Julie said: “As Chair of Trustees, I see what a fantastic job our staff and volunteers do offering a lifeline for many older people, so I am delighted that Posh Frocks Events has chosen Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin as their nominated charity. With all our business and personal connections, Kim and I look forward to working together to make this a spectacular event and we aim to raise around £2,000 from the event.”
Kim added: “We are finalising all the details and talking to match funders. Tickets are now on sale, but five tables have already been reserved, so we expect a quick take up this year. As all the funds are raised from the Grand Hamper Prize Draw, we are also looking for quality donations from local businesses for our hampers.”
Tickets for the charity dinner are available now through Kim’s Connect Consultancy website and there is an early bird price of £41 if booked and paid for before Wednesday 1 October.
