A heartwarming partnership between Age UK Solihull, and Midlands-based choir Pop Voices, has come to a close, marking the end of a successful year of fundraising and musical collaboration.
Over the course of 12 months, Pop Voices raised more than £3,600 for Age UK Solihull through performances, raffles, and events - including their annual Summer Concert at Birmingham Town Hall. The choir also supported some of our key events such as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and Christmas Carol Singing, helping to raise more funds and awareness of our vital work.
All funds raised will remain in Solihull, directly supporting services for older residents of the borough, including befriending, social clubs, gentle exercise classes, and a vital information and advice line.
Rebecca Jacob, Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull, said:
"We are incredibly grateful to Pop Voices for their enthusiasm, energy and generosity throughout the year. Their support has not only raised vital funds but also brought joy and connection to our community. Every penny raised will help us continue supporting older people in Solihull to live well and feel less alone."
Pop Voices brings together singers of all abilities to share their love of music With around 400 members, Pop Voices Choir sings at various venues in Solihull, Warwickshire and beyond.
Anya Small, Leader of Pop Voices, added:
"It’s been a pleasure to partner with Age UK Solihull. Our choir members have loved being part of something that makes a real difference locally. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together and hope the funds raised will go a long way in supporting older people in the borough."
