Staying connected and having someone to talk to is important all of the time but when we cannot physically meet staying in touch really matters, especially for older people that live alone.

What is Check in and Chat?

It’s good to chat. Staying connected and having someone to talk to is so important for our wellbeing, especially when we cannot take part in our usual social activities. As we get older, we may find we spend more time on our own. Or we may have caring responsibilities that isolate us from the outside world.

If you, or someone you know, is missing companionship or the joy of regular conversation, then Age UK Surrey can help. We have friendly volunteers who would enjoy having a regular telephone chat with you.

How does Check in and Chat work?

We will talk to you first so we can best match you with an Age UK Surrey Volunteer who will arrange a mutually convenient time to call. Staying in touch really matters.
