With over four decades experience in the NGO/charity sector Peter has worked in a range of arenas, including health, criminal justice and social care.

After a long career as Executive Director for Operations, Care Quality & Development in a mid-tier treatment, harm reduction and social justice charity Peter joined the Age UK ‘family’, initially as CEO in Enfield, and since September 2024 as CEO in Sutton.

His particular interest is in development and building quality innovative responses to the modern-day challenges presented across the health and social care system. This is with particular reference to organisational, service design and network development. He has a wealth of experience, having headed up large scale project design, implementation and management of integrated partnerships, incorporating a multi stakeholder approach.

Peter’s view – “Moving to Sutton has presented a huge opportunity to lead a local organisation, significantly contributing to the development and management of quality service provision for older people. I’m particularly interested in evolving multi partnership networks and am a strong advocate of prevention (especially dementia prevention) approaches, utilising the experience of individuals, families and carers to inform the design and development of relevant and sustainable services for the longer term. Recent government announcements are potentially encouraging, and we should be looking forward to work with statutory partners to evolve and change the way we deliver health and social care provision”.
