Support people living in the borough of Westminster to become more active and help them regain their independence!

Age UK Westminster is running home-based exercise and physical activity sessions tailored to meet the needs of individuals who might be housebound, living with chronic conditions, having mobility and balance issues, and finding activities of daily living challenging.

Working side by side with the Fit4Life coordinator, you will spend 1 to 2 hours a week supporting a client with exercise sessions prescribed/agreed beforehand by the coordinator. You will be provided with all the necessary training and will be supported throughout your volunteering experience.

Skills and attributes required:

  • Some understanding of the most common chronic conditions and mobility issues
  • Passionate about supporting people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing

Experience required:

  • Experience or demonstrable interest in exercise and physical activity
  • General knowledge of the benefits of regular physical activity participation

General knowledge of some of the most common chronic conditions and mobility issues

Mandatory Training & Development:

  • General Induction

Volunteering Location: 

Volunteering will take place remotely at clients' homes.
