Age UK Bradford District is delighted to launch Bradford in Focus - a welcoming space where older people can come together to reflect on the past, explore local history and share memories in a relaxed and supportive environment.

This new programme offers regular four-hour drop-in sessions, twice per week, where participants can explore a range of local history resources including photography, books and archival material. Sessions are designed to be flexible and unhurried, giving everyone time to take part in a way that feels comfortable.

We will be using local history and photography resources, including work by Ian Beesley, to spark conversation about life in Bradford District across the decades - from school days and first jobs to industry, neighbourhoods, celebrations and community traditions.

What to Expect

  • A warm, friendly and informal atmosphere
  • Opportunities to look through books and photographs
  • Time for quiet reflection if preferred
  • Refreshments and a warm space

There is no pressure to share. You can contribute as much or as little as you like.
