What work I carry out:
Supply and fitting of all types of handrails and grab rails in metal / wood or plastic for use inside or outside.
Bespoke iron gates and railings / wooden garden fencing
Supply and fitting of key safes
General small handyman / DIY jobs such as fitting of curtain rails, exchanging door handles and catches.
Being on the trusted traders database creates a good connection with people who need and want to be able to trust someone to do work correctly and at a fair price.
I get quite a lot of my work through being on the database as other agencies involved in the care services contact me after initially getting my details via Age UK Bradford District.
I enjoy the type of work that I obtain through the Trusted Traders site, as people appreciate the benefits and also the confidence that the type of work I provide I can give them. On a regular basis I also have been able to carry out and organise work for people who may not have family who live nearby knowing that someone who cares and can be trusted is available. I’m always happy to visit and give my advice regarding all types of work and steer people towards the right tradesmen if I’m not able to carry out the work myself.

I would say around 50% of my work involves fitting key safe boxes for people, which allows family members or even emergency service personnel to have a spare key for people's property should there be an emergency where they need to get in. The other 50% is general door and window repair work. As well as getting work directly from the Age UK Bradford District site, I believe that being a member has also helped me with building customers trust from other sources too.
I believe in providing the exact price to the customer over the phone prior to coming to the job, which, would you believe, is very uncommon in this industry. I like to ensure that there are no surprises and allow people to compare so that they get the best price. Many people also ask me if I do other general handy work,which I do sometimes do depending on how busy I am.
