Older People’s Health and Care Survey

Published on 05 October 2022 09:46 AM

Age UK are conducting research to understand more about the current health and care needs of older people. We are looking to hear from older people themselves but also from friends and family who want to share their loved ones experiences on their behalf.

Age UK conducted similar surveys in 2020 and 2021 and had a fantastic response. Over 15,000 people responded to our last survey, which gave us a powerful position from which to influence the Government and the NHS. Your responses helped us put pressure on the Government on a number of issues, particularly help during the cost of living crisis and access to NHS services.

If you completed our survey last time, we would still love to hear from you again, as some questions have changed we are now moving to annual surveys, to help us in our influencing work. This time we are particularly interested in how the increases in the cost of living are affecting your health and care.

As before, we will be using the information you share with us as part of our work to influence Government and to help improve the support which older people receive in relation to health and care. We may publicly use your stories to highlight what's happening for older people but will not share any personal details about you or any information which might enable people to identify who you are.

For information on Age UK's privacy policy, see here- https://www.ageuk.org.uk/help/privacy-policy/

There are 30 multiple choice, very quick questions in this survey, and 14 where you can write in your answers. Not all of the questions will be relevant to everyone, so you should be able to skip some. You do not need to answer any questions which you are uncomfortable with. The survey should take no more than 15-30 minutes to complete (perhaps more, depending on how much you want to tell us).

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey, we really do appreciate it.
