Friends Ageing Better (FAB) is the name of a collection of services for people aged 50+ that are designed to reduce or prevent social isolation and keep people active. FAB members can enjoy:
- our FAB cafes - an opportunity meet regularly with others over a cuppa in a community setting
- Tai Chi
- FAB discos and special events
- A growing number of discounted offers and rewards such as free classical concerts in the centre of Bristol every Wednesday afternoon, free Walking Football sessions and a free cuppa at Matinee Mingle sessions at The Bristol Hippodrome where people attending a performance on their own can meet up with others before going in to see the show.
Through FAB we are building a network/community of older adults who share what is happening in the city for mutual benefit.
We have a fortnightly e-newsletter for FAB members, which includes information on local and online events and free printed What's on Guides containing details of activities and events across Bristol.
