Three local Day Centres were welcomed for a festive Christmas dinner hosted by Compare the Market, marking the second year of what is becoming a much-loved seasonal tradition following last year’s successful event and the VE Day celebrations.

Wisbech Morrisons Hosts Christmas Lunch for Oasis Day Centre
On 11th December, service users from the Oasis Day Centre in Wisbech were welcomed for a heart-warming Christmas lunch hosted by Morrisons. The event formed part of a nationwide Morrisons initiative, which saw hundreds of older people across the country treated to a two-course Christmas meal, complete with gifts and entertainment provided by dedicated store staff.

Monday Club receive visit from IKEA Peterborough
On 15th December, Monday Club welcomed a special visit from four members of staff from IKEA, creating a fun and memorable day for both service users and staff. The visit was filled with enjoyable activities, including a musical quiz and a game of bingo, which encouraged everyone to get involved and have fun together. Laughter and smiles were shared throughout the session, making it a truly fun experience.

On 9 December, Claire Houghton, Commissioner for Cambridgeshire County Council, and her team paid a special visit to Cherry Trees Day Club, bringing festive cheer to service users and staff. The group enjoyed a wonderful afternoon singing Christmas carols and creating festive foliage, leaving everyone feeling ready for Christmas
