Dementia Action Week 15-21 May 2023

Dementia Action Week encourages people who are concerned that they or someone they know may be experiencing dementia symptoms to seek further help. We can share details of activities that are being organised by Age UK Islington, Islington Carers Hub and other local partners for people living with dementia and their carers in May.

Health & Wellbeing Walk

Friday 5 May, 10am from Islington Ecology Centre, Gillespie Park

Jo will be holding her usual dementia-friendly health and nature walk at Gillespie Park for adults of all ages. Come to Islington Ecology Centre for 10am. The walk is around 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the attendees and the weather. There are plenty of spots to rest. Return to the Islington Ecology Centre for free tea, coffee and biscuits.

Islington Ecology Centre is the blue wooden building just inside Gillespie Park from the entrance on Drayton Park. The address is 191 Drayton Park N5 1PH. It is a 3 minute walk from Arsenal tube station (simply turn right as you leave the station and follow the road round until you see the gate on your right hand side).

If you are having trouble finding the Centre, please ring Jo on 07890044808.

You don’t need to book, just turn up for 10am.
