Meet Bryan Moscrop. A veteran living in Lancashire who has been supported by our Removing Barriers service. Our service helped Bryan apply for the veteran’s badge that he never had. Once our support with Bryan ended, he, unfortunately, went into hospital and his badge arrived, unbeknown to Removing Barriers. Upon his discharge from hospital, our HAS service were proving help for Bryan and Tracey Barclay – Smith (HAS worker) saw his pride regarding the badge and letter that was on his mantelpiece. With his permission, Tracey managed to get him a frame for his letter. Bryan also had a carer that came to see him, he saw the letter and said to Bryan “I’ve got one of those”. Bryan told us how lovely it had been to talk to someone that shared experiences with him.  One of the aims of Removing Barriers is to connect veterans and it was so heart-warming to hear how we had made a difference to this lovely man through the Removing Barriers service.
