Accessible Matchday Bus Service Grows as More Fans Get On Board

Published on 27 August 2025 12:42 PM

Norwich Door to Door, in partnership with The Canaries Trust, Norwich City Football Club, Norfolk County Council, Age UK Norwich, Age Friendly Norwich and Inclusive Norwich Partnership, are delighted to see the matchday mobility bus service go from strength to strength, with more supporters using it each week.

The accessible service between County Hall and Carrow Road was created to help fans with mobility issues who may struggle, or be unable, to make the walk to the stadium. Just weeks after launch, it has already become a valued part of the matchday experience for many

One fan called the bus a “Godsend” explaining that without it they were questioning if they would be able to continue to go to the games, supporting the team they love. Another fan who had been attending matches since 1946 explained that before the bus they thought this would be “the last season” they would be able to attend, but with the bus he would be able to keep coming to matches.

Why supporters are choosing the service

  • Return transport between County Hall and Carrow Road for supporters with mobility needs, plus one carer if required.
  • Wheelchair users welcome (folding chairs can be accommodated).
  • Tickets cost £4 return for supporters and £2 return for carers/assistants.
  • Convenient parking on the County Hall forecourt (£6 fee).
  • For Saturday 3.00pm kick-offs, arrival by 1.15pm, departure at 1.30pm.
  • Drop-off and collection outside the Holiday Inn Norwich, returning after the match.
  • Evening and alternative kick-off times listed on the booking page.

Supporters have been quick to praise the service. On its second official trip, many passengers said the bus would help them keep coming to games and stay connected to the club they love.
