80 Years in the Making - Age UK Norwich Makes it Mark with History Exhibition

This summer, the heart of Norwich will beat with the stories of generations past as Age UK Norwich celebrates a remarkable milestone. From 4th - 7th of August, Age UK Norwich will take over The Forum, presenting a dynamic, interactive exhibit showcasing the charity’s lasting legacy and the vital role it continues to play in the lives of older people.
The free-to-attend celebration marks eight decades of dedication, advocacy, and support for Norwich’s older residents. With a packed programme that includes historical exhibitions, expert talks, Interactive, hands-on activities, and a rich archive of local history, visitors will be taken on a journey through time — from wartime Norwich to the modern day.
While general entry is free, a series of special talks will be available for just £3 per session, offering attendees a deeper dive into topics such as social care, intergenerational change, and the power of local activism.
With support from sponsors including Home Instead, Aviva, and Hatch Brenner Solicitors, this event promises to be one of the highlights of Norwich’s summer calendar — bringing history to life and sparking vital conversations about aging, community, and care.
Mark your calendars and keep an eye out for details for the talks, we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
