Jess Marshall, PhD Researcher in Behaviour Change Science:

When I first began this research, I was interested in a simple question: how do Health Coaches help people become and stay physically active? The Age UK Norwich Health Coaching Service is supporting older adults every day to overcome these barriers.

Rather than asking whether the service works, I wanted to understand how it works. What do Health Coaches actually do? How do they encourage people to keep coming back? What can we learn from their experience that could help other organisations support healthy ageing?
