Mid-Retirement Navigator
After all those years planning and saving for retirement, you might think it’s all plain sailing for those later life years.
However, recent research shows how many older people are either not maximising the wealth they have accumulated, often at the expense of their own health and wellbeing, or they are spending more than they expected, and the stress and worry that comes with thinking about the future.
This is an exciting new role to help people in mid-retirement, in their early to mid-70s, to review their life plans and help them navigate the different choices they have. This is not just about money, it’s discussing factors such as health, care needs, family and personal goals - ultimately helping make later life the best it can be.
We’re looking for someone who has experience in a regulated industry, such as financial, debt or legal services, where you are familiar with pensions, insurance and consumer products.
As part of our Service Delivery Team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to older people’s lives. This role is being piloted across six Age UKs in England, so you will join a peer network of other Navigators to help shape this service from the ground-up, and the ongoing research into mid-retirement.
