Caring for someone is a full-time job, and having the time and confidence to maintain your own health is challenging.
We provide a friendly face to help you.
Research shows how important a carers health is for their own quality of life and the loved one they look after. Through funding from Sports England, we provide a friendly atmosphere to help you and the person you care for take part in health activities, all in your own home or somewhere local to you.
Virtual Group Sessions: You can attend one of our virtual group sessions where you get to meet likeminded individuals, participate in a physical exercises delivered by qualified instructors or simply have a chat about some of the challenges you have.
We can even support you to learn how to use IT and where required help access the equipment e.g. tablet, laptop and internet device. Ask us about this service
1-2-1 Physical Exercise: If you are not the virtual type and would prefer a face to face, then our 1-2-1 exercise at home service may just be the best for you. We will provide a friendly instructor who can visit you at home to help you and your loved one practice some gentle exercises to improve your physical health. All our instructors are qualified and experienced with working with older people. .
Once you have reached your goals at home, you can progress on to our activity befriending scheme where you will be able to participate in the community activities. For more information about “Activity Befriending” please check our Independent Living Service.
