Funding that keeps care at the centre

We are delighted to receive funding from The National Lottery that supports Donna, our Client Care Supervisor at Age UK Plymouth.

We are excited to share that we have recently been awarded significant funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to support our Client Care role at Age UK Plymouth.

For those who regularly visit our Mount Gould centre, you will already know Donna, our Client Care Supervisor, who embodies everything we strive to be as an organisation. Her kindness and genuine care make a real difference to the people we support each and every day.

This vital funding supports her role and ensures we can continue providing essential guidance, reassurance and practical support to our clients when they need us most.

"She's always helpful and greets you with a smile. It's so lovely to see such a friendly face."

When asked about Donna's role and how important it is to Age UK Plymouth, Michael, a familiar and much loved regular, shared these lovely words:

"Donna is one in a million. She is always so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Age UK Plymouth is such a wonderful place to come. We are always so well looked after."

Donna also took the time to reflect on what the funding means to her:

"This funding means that I can carry on providing the care and support that is so important to the people who rely on us. I truly love my job. I love meeting people from all walks of life and doing my role to the very best of my ability."

We are incredibly thankful to The National Lottery for this funding and for recognising the importance of the work we do within our community. We are also extremely grateful for everything Donna does to support our clients and for the commitment and compassion she shows every single day.
