We are now refreshing and expanding our Board, alongside the appointment of a new Chair, making this an exciting time to join and help shape the future of the charity.
Why become a Trustee
Becoming a Trustee at Age UK Plymouth gives you the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of older people in our city. You will use your skills, experience and judgement to help shape the charity’s direction and strengthen its impact.
Whether or not you have been a Trustee before, you will join a friendly and committed Board, working together to provide strong governance and strategic oversight.
What we are looking for
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Financial management/ accounting
- Fundraising and income generation
- Health and social care provision (with a particular interest in dementia)
- Change, transformation and strategy
- Legal
- Governance
However, if your background lies elsewhere and you're passionate about our mission, we'd still love to hear from you.
The time commitment is approximately 4 to 6 hours per month, giving flexibility for those with other commitments. There is also an option to attend some meetings remotely if that is more convenient.
