The innocent Big Knit is back... wool you join us?

Last year, Plymouth truly pulled out all the stops. We were set a target of 2,500 hats... and what happened next completely unravelled our expectations (in the best possible way).

Thanks to the incredible creativity and generosity of our city, 4,799 little hats were produced, raising £1,439.70 for Age UK Plymouth. Some were lifelong knitters who could cast in their sleep, while others came from picking up needles for the first time. Community groups, craft clubs, friends, families and individuals all stitched together to create something really special.

And the best part? Every tiny hat made such a big difference!

How does the Big Knit work?

Every time a smoothie bottle with a woolly hat is sold, innocent donates 30p to Age UK. The money is shared between Age UK and its local partners across the UK, helping local Age UK organisations provide vital support to older people in their communities - including here in Plymouth.
