Afternoon of Entertainment postponed

In light of recent events, Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin took the sad decision today to postpone the Afternoon of Entertainment event at The Place Theatre in Oakengates.
The much-loved variety show, which was due to take place on Tuesday 20 September, was set to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. With that in mind, the charity felt that out of respect for the mourning period and given the original celebratory theme, it would be inappropriate to go ahead during this time.
The team at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and to inform those who booked tickets that a member of the team will be in touch to arrange refunds. We will announce a new date for the show in the coming months.
