Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin has just published an easy-to-use A-Z of Services for Older People.

Covering topics from district nurses to diabetes, from passports to pensions, and from smoke alarms to social care, you can find hundreds of useful contact numbers in one handy new guide.

‘It really is a fantastically helpful guide,’ said Rob Smith, Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's Information & Advice Manager.

‘Whether you need to contact someone about housing issues, safety in your own home, healthy living or even things like social care or maybe getting help with debt, it’s all here in this very handy guide.’

‘We thought it would be enormously helpful for people to have all these contact details collected together in one place. Not everybody has access to the internet or uses a computer, so it’s really good to have a guide like this that you can keep on your coffee table or next to your telephone and find the information you need quickly.’

The free 100-page booklet also contains clear contact information for people wanting to know more about clubs and activities for older people, advice and advocacy, wheelchairs, loneliness, bereavement care, victim support, blue badge parking permits, tax issues, arranging power of attorney, and support and information for the LGBT+ community.

The A-Z of Services for Older People is available now from Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s office at Bellstone, Shrewsbury, SY1 1HX. If you would like a copy posted to you, call us on 01743 233 123.
