Day centre's message from the King

Earlier this month members of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s Greenacres day centre in Harlescott were thrilled to receive a card from King Charles.

The card from the king thanked the day centre members for their kind thoughts and best wishes following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Baldwin, the organiser of Greenacres day centre, had organised and sent a card of condolence to the king from the group’s members. Elizabeth said of the king’s response: ‘Greenacres members are so thrilled and touched by this message which came with a picture of Charles as a boy and the Queen.’

To celebrate the forthcoming coronation of the king, Greenacres are planning to plant a tree at the day centre venue and the day centre members have made a special card to send to the King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
