Enthusiasm is catching

There was plenty of positive feedback from the residents at Chillcott Gardens in Madeley following a talk about Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s social activities.

Talk of friendly singing groups, fun exercise sessions and Stitch & Mix mornings has inspired the residents to join some of our social activities, and we hope they’ll soon be enjoying the benefits of being part of a group and making new friends.

Presenting the talk and handing out leaflets were Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin staff members Phil Gillam and Claire Fishlock.

‘It was a real pleasure to visit everyone at Chillcott Gardens, and great to get such a positive response regarding the many services and social groups offered locally by Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin,’ said Phil.

‘We’re grateful to Fiona Robertson and Emma Ellis, managers at Chillcott, for inviting us along, and we must also say a huge thankyou to the residents for their kind and generous donation to our charity.’
