Shropshire drop-ins offer expert advice

A new series of drop-in sessions in Shropshire towns are offering a wide range of help and expert advice over a friendly chat and a cup of coffee.

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin will be among the organisations taking part in several of the Shropshire Council-run drop-ins, with our Service Development Officer, Karen Rawlings, attending the drop-ins at venues in Albrighton and Cleobury Mortimer.

Topics that can be discussed with various organisations include: housing support, children’s health and wellbeing, healthy living, getting older, family life, help with drug and alcohol problems, fire service support, public health nursing, dementia, domestic abuse support and financial advice.

At Albrighton, events will take place at Albrighton Library, 17 Station Road, WV7 3QH, from 9.30am-12.30pm on:

  • 17 October
  • 21 November
  • 19 December
  • 16 January
  • 20 February.

At Cleobury Mortimer, the drop-ins will take place at the Cleobury Country Centre, Love Lane, DY14 8PE, from 9.00-11.00am, on:

  • 20 October
  • 17 November
  • 15 December
  • 19 January
  • 16 February.
