Multi-award-winning comedian Ada Campe has joined the line-up for Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s Afternoon of Entertainment at Telford Theatre, Oakengates, in May.

Ada Campe is the comedy creation of performer, writer, broadcaster and researcher Naomi Paxton, praised by TV comedian Sandi Toksvig, who said: ‘She made me laugh more than anyone on the circuit has for years.’

Campe will bring her eccentric flights of fancy, along with her outlandish eye make-up, flamboyant headdress and conspiratorial air to Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s variety show, an afternoon that promises an uplifting mix of fine harmony singing and wacky and outrageous comedy tailored especially for older people.

Ada joins the line-up that includes: Britain’s Got Talent comedian Steve Royle, Black Country stars The Fizzogs, a cappella group Men in Harmony and local community choir The Darby Singers.

The star-studded event will take place at Telford Theatre in Oakengates on Tuesday 16 May 2023, 2.00-5.00pm. Tickets are £10.00 and are on sale now.
