Volunteers Christmas Lunch

December saw the return of one of our favourite events of the year: the annual Christmas Lunch as a thank you to Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s wonderful volunteers.
The first one to be held since the pandemic, we saw over 150 volunteers sit down for a lovely Christmas meal alongside some of our trustees and several members of staff. We enjoyed a quiz, a raffle and heartfelt words of thanks from our president, Anne Wignall. Clearly, everyone was delighted to be back to normal, which created a great atmosphere.
We always say that volunteers are the lifeblood of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin: it was a privilege to thank many of them in person for the time and effort they so generously give to support local older people.
