Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's social groups help older people to meet up with friends or make new ones.

This group meets on the first Friday of every month, 11.00am-12.30pm in various Shrewsbury coffee shops, to enjoy a relaxed and friendly time together.

Still Caring is a social group for people who are or have been until recently, caring for someone else.

Who is it for:

• carers who are no longer physically caring or their caring role has come to an end
• carers who are isolated by their current caring role but are able to leave their cared for person, for a short time, and want to socialise with others.

We can:

• offer a friendly face and warm conversation over a cuppa
• introduce you to others who understand your situation
• inform you of other activities happening locally
• share stories without judgement
• help build confidence with returning to a social situation.
