At Age UK Wirral, we are more than aware that a forward-looking strategy is important because clarity of purpose and direction is key to a thriving organisation. By reviewing our strategy, we can set long term goals whilst enabling us to strengthen our core values. Strategic and organic growth combined will enable us to reflect on a long term, solid plan for the organisation.
It is important to everyone at Age UK Wirral that we engage with our community, and hear what matters to them, so we use this to inform our future priorities. Listening and engaging will enable us to understand the surroundings in which our community are living in. The surroundings in which Age UK Wirral operates is changing rapidly and we need to move with this change, whilst supporting our users whilst looking at the following.
- Ever increasing older community with diverse needs
- Greater need for sustainable funding
- An increased demand for new and varied services
- A greater focus on living independently for longer
- Need to drive revenue from other avenues other than being reliant on funding
The first step of the strategic plan is to undertake consultations with community members through guided conversations. This can be completed through surveys, conversations and focus groups within the community. It’s important that we facilitate these conversations across the whole of the Wirral peninsula. This is where we need your support, this will enable us to reach a much wider demographic than just current Age UK Wirral users.
