Welcome to the latest edition of the Home Services Directory. The directory provides a list of traders who have been vetted by Age UK York and City of York Council Trading Standards so that you can have confidence in their trustworthiness and their ability to do the job they are offering.

We are pleased that this edition has been co-branded by Older Citizens Advocacy York (OCAY), and York Carers Centre. The directory was originally developed by Age UK York to support older people although other charities found it useful for their clients. Anyone can use the directory and the more widely it is distributed, the more traders are likely to become part of the scheme, making it even more useful.

Age UK York has been supporting older people in York for over fifty years. This Home Services Directory is just one of many services we offer. Thanks to support from City of York Council and other partners we deliver a range of services through the Older People’s Community Support Service and a number of health and social care services. These are detailed at the end of the directory. Do get in touch if you or your friends and relatives might benefit from any of our services.
