InformationPlus Assistant

  • Contracted hours - 12 Hours per week
  • Working days - Mondays & Thursdays with flexibility to cover holidays
  • Location - Based at the Keighley Community Hub
  • Temporary role - funded to 31st March 2025 (although we hope that funding will continue beyond this date)

The focus is on enabling, empowering and supporting them to remain independent, active and engaged members of their communities, both receiving and providing the support and activities they identify that they need and which are their chosen priorities.

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for someone to join our team in this interesting role and would love to hear from people who are passionate about supporting older people to live their best possible life.

The key responsibilities for the role are;

  • Handling initial contact queries through the telephone/email and Web information service
  • Updating our Charitylog Database
  • To hold InformationPlus drop in sessions at our community hubs
  • To support the development of our volunteer support team, in the delivery of basic information provision in the hubs
  • Working with the hub teams to maintain information points to the required standards, in AUKBD Community Hubs and other locations.

This is an interesting and varied position for someone who is looking to gain experience in delivering advice and support to the Bradford community, there are many opportunities to learn and develop in the role.

Strong administration and communication skills are required for the role, together with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

The InformationPlus Assistant will be part of our Keighley Community Hub Team, and please note that this role is also subject to an enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for through Age UK Bradford District.

Salary £22,313 FTE per annum, actual £7,236.65 per annum 

(Based on 12 hours per week)

5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
