Age UK Bradford District’s mission is to enable, empower and support people to live well as active, engaged and influential members of their communities. We work to ensure that everyone’s contribution is valued and that individuals and their communities provide mutual support which promotes independence, inclusion, choice and control.

The Marketing Assistant is a key role, ensuring that the Charity’s marketing activities are delivered effectively to raise awareness levels – resulting in more people accessing the charity’s services, in addition to increased levels of income.

The main duties of the post include;

  • Managing the marketing and promotion of all aspects of the charity
  • Producing posters and leaflets to promote the activities of the charity
  • Updating the Charity’s website
  • Updating and maintaining social media accounts and activity
  • Representing the charity at external events
  • Taking part with the wider team in fundraising initiatives

Ideally, we would like to hear from people who have knowledge of website management and social media, together with experience gained within a marketing environment. However, a positive attitude together with great organisational and PC skills are equally important.

We will give you the support needed to be successful, whilst also ensuring that you have every opportunity to be independent in your role. We encourage our people to use their creativity to achieve success and we help every step of the way.

A full driving licence is desirable, together with business use insurance and access to a car, as occasional travel throughout the District is required for this role.

Salary £23,492.04 per annum pro rata, actual salary £4,444.44

7 hours per week to be worked over 1 day or 2 half days. However, due to the nature of the role, we require the postholder to have a flexible approach to days and hours of work.
