Day Centre’s Easter Celebrations.

Published on 20 April 2026 11:40 AM

Day Services at Cherry Trees and Tuesday Club had a wonderful time celebrating Easter this year.

Our Day Services offer the opportunity for older people to socialise, make friends and participate in activities in a happy and secure environment.

At our Day Centre we love an excuse to celebrate with activities and snacks! And Easter is the perfect excuse.

Our Tuesday Club in March is for older services users with disabilities. Everyone got stuck in combining yummy ingredients to make some tasty chocolate Easter nests.

If you would like to make your own use our recipe below.

This recipe makes 12

Ingredients

75g of rice Krispies

225g of a chocolate of your choice (my personal favourite to you with these is caramilk)

1 bag of mini eggs or another chocolate egg of your choice.

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate. You can do this over the hob or microwave.
  2. Measure out the cereal in a bowl and pour over the melted chocolate. Then mix it together
  3. Use a tablespoon to scoop out the mix and put it into cupcake cases.
  4. Use the back of the spoon to make a dip in the mix.
  5. Place your mini eggs in the dip. I would use about 3 for each nest
  6. Pop them into the fridge for a couple of hours for them to set.
  7. Once they are set enjoy!

Cherry Trees Day Centre in Cambridge had a crafty day making Easter Bonnets and Easter Ties. Everyone looked fabulous in their handmade get up. They also enjoyed a nice lunch which got eaten very quickly.
